About the Role
Grant Writing: Write and coordinate full grant proposals and reports to foundations, corporations and select government agencies as determined by the grants calendar and grant reporting requirements. Foster the growth and implementation of best practices for all grant-related functions, including proposal-writing, budget development, and data integrity. Research and compile pertinent institutional information for projects requiring funding. This includes meeting and coordinating with other members within Dua Copa to garner information to be incorporated into case statements, letters of intent, proposals and reports.
Research & Planning: Identify corporate and foundation prospects and develop effective solicitation strategies to secure funding for Dua Copa initiatives. Strategically link our initiatives with opportunities for fundraising. Lead or participate in initiatives and workgroups that might result in or impact grant funding. Make informed presentations on major funding decisions; lead conversation on benefits and risks of a particular grant. Perform prospect research on foundations and corporations to evaluate prospects for corporate and foundation grants. Follow relevant news and grant trends as it relates to Dua Copa’s needs, including budget processes.
Goal Setting: Set annual personal goals, including: writing proposals, dollars raised, types and amounts of gifts sought; self-improvement goals; adding foundation prospects to database; planned activities with constituents. Making other members of Dua Copa aware of potential funding opportunities and inform directions that we can grow into.

Requirements
You will strive to receive funding from different organizations and individuals by researching, drafting, and submitting proposals. You will be responsible for discovering grant opportunities and building and maintaining relationships with funders, donors, and others within the community.
Requirements for this role include:
Study and understand the values, structure, objectives, programs and financial needs of Dua Copa.
Research grant opportunities from government and non-government agencies.
Draft grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the organization.
Submit proposals to grant coordinators for approval.
Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals.
Maintain positive relationships with fund providers and other stakeholders.
Maintain records and submit reports related to grant opportunities.
Help plan new directions for Dua Copa to grow based on relationships with other organizations.
Responsible for all aspects of raising support from foundations, corporations, and government sources requiring researching opportunities and writing full grant proposals. Building partnerships between Dua Copa and public and private organizations that share a similar commitment to education, urban design, and sustainability. You will be actively engaged in researching opportunities, working to establish long-term partnerships and strengthen existing relationships that will result in funding for the immediate and long-term goals of Dua Copa.
